Energy Options

All sectors of society have the choice of the "Renewable Energy Options", which are:
  • Solar Energy
  • Wind Energy
  • Waste Energy
  • Water Energy

What you may opt for will depend on several factors and your national Energy policy.

01

Solar Power

solarSolar power is a renewable source of energy that can be gathered practically anywhere in the world. Solar power plants don't produce any air, water, or noise pollution and do not emit any greenhouse gases (Large-scale power plants can disturb local plant and wildlife due to their size, but compared to fossil fuels, still have a lower environmental footprint). Solar power plants also have less safety risks than fossil fuel plants. Once built, solar power plants have extremely low operating costs, since their major input, sunlight, is free.

02

Wind Power

windWind power is cost-effective. A land-based utility-scale wind is one of the lowest-priced energy sources available today. It's a clean fuel source. Wind energy doesn't pollute the air like power plants that rely on combustion of fossil fuels, such as coal or natural gas, which emit particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur dioxide—causing human health problems and economic damages. Wind turbines do not produce atmospheric emissions that cause acid rain, smog, or greenhouse gases. It's sustainable. Wind is a form of solar energy. Winds are caused by the heating of the atmosphere by the sun, the rotation of the Earth, and the Earth's surface irregularities. For as long as the sun shines and the wind blows, the energy produced can be harnessed to create power.

03

Waste Energy

wasteWaste-to-Energy plants use household waste as a fuel for generating power, much like other power stations use coal, oil or natural gas. The burning of the waste heats water and the steam drives a turbine to generate electricity. Waste can be utilized from: •Residential •Industrial • Commercial • Institutional • Construction and Demolition sources.
(MSW), non-renewable waste) also called Household Waste, accounts for only about 10% of total waste generated. This is waste collected by municipal authorities and disposed of through waste management systems. MSW is mainly generated by households, although it also includes similar waste from offices, shops, and public administrations. The average European is responsible for 500 kg of MSW a year.

Water Energy

waterThe electricity that is generated from water energy is clean and highly efficient. The power generated does not emit any greenhouse gases and does not pollute the air. Water is a renewable source of power as it is driven by sun. Electricity is produced from water in many ways. But the major method is by constructing dams and building power stations with turbines and generators to control the flow of water. The power generated from water is called “HYDRO POWER”. In many countries Hydropower is the main source of electricity because of many factors, but essentially owing to the fact that ’Hydro’ was ‘introduced to society’ at a much earlier date.
Water Energy Sources
Water is used to produce electricity in many ways, such as:, Conventional methods, Pumped- storage systems, Run-of-the river method, Tidal method, Underground systems.

Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy” and the future wellbeing of planet Earth and Civilisation are interlinked at this critical time in the history of mankind. Serious action has to be taken to both control the ‘carbon heating’ of the planet, whilst also ensuring that mankind can both survive and continue to develop. The introduction of Renewable ‘energy sources and processes’ coupled with the reduction and removal of “old carbon operated systems’ will happen and is happening, we do not have a choice in this matter! What we do have a choice in, is our ‘options’ in Water, Solar, Wind or Waste and how to use them to our best advantage in both reliability, quality and cost. What will your choice be………..making that decision should also include the possibilities for personal transport options in the future as well. E-Car, Hydrogen powered units etc.……. these matters will all have a bearing on options and must be considered in all aspects by you and society!

We are entering the new World of Renewable Energy, …………… clean “Energy 4-U-4-Everyone”!
